Last updated: 15 March 2025
Welcome to OraSpot. These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the OraSpot marketplace platform at oraspot.co.uk. By creating an account or using our services, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.
About OraSpot
OraSpot is an online marketplace that connects independent sellers with buyers in the United Kingdom. We provide the platform infrastructure — including storefronts, payment processing, and order management tools — but we are not a party to the transactions between buyers and sellers. Each seller is responsible for their own products, pricing, and fulfilment.
Eligibility
- You must be at least 16 years old to create a buyer account
- You must be at least 18 years old to create a seller account
- Seller accounts are subject to approval by OraSpot and may be rejected or suspended at our discretion
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
Buyer Terms
Placing Orders
When you place an order through OraSpot, you are entering into a contract directly with the seller. OraSpot facilitates the transaction but is not the seller of the products. All prices are displayed in GBP and include VAT at the applicable UK rate (currently 20%).
Payment
Payments are processed securely through Stripe. By making a purchase, you authorise OraSpot to charge the total amount (including VAT and shipping) via your chosen payment method. OraSpot holds funds and distributes them to sellers according to our payment schedule.
Delivery
Delivery is handled by individual sellers. Estimated delivery times are provided by sellers and are not guaranteed by OraSpot. You will receive email notifications when your order is shipped and delivered, including tracking information where available.
Product Information
Sellers are responsible for the accuracy of their product listings, including descriptions, images, and pricing. While we strive to ensure quality across the platform, OraSpot does not verify every product listing and cannot guarantee the accuracy of seller-provided information.
Seller Terms
Seller Registration
To sell on OraSpot, you must complete our seller registration process and be approved by our team. We reserve the right to reject applications or suspend seller accounts at any time, including for reasons related to product quality, customer complaints, or policy violations.
Product Listings
As a seller, you are solely responsible for your product listings. You must ensure that all products you list are legal to sell in the UK, accurately described, and comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including consumer protection, product safety, and intellectual property laws.
Fees and Payments
- OraSpot charges a platform fee of 12% on each sale
- Seller payouts are processed 7 days after shipment confirmation via Stripe Connect
- Instant payouts may be available for an additional fee
- Sellers are responsible for their own tax obligations, including VAT registration and reporting
Fulfilment
Sellers are responsible for fulfilling orders promptly, providing accurate tracking information, and ensuring products reach buyers in the condition described. Sellers must mark orders as shipped with a valid tracking number before payout is initiated.
Stripe Connect
Sellers must set up a Stripe Connect account to receive payouts. By using Stripe Connect, you also agree to Stripe's Connected Account Agreement.
Prohibited Activities
You must not:
Use OraSpot for any unlawful purpose or to sell prohibited items
List counterfeit, stolen, or infringing products
Manipulate reviews, ratings, or search results
Attempt to circumvent OraSpot's payment system or fee structure
Harass, abuse, or threaten other users
Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access OraSpot without permission
Create multiple accounts to evade restrictions or bans
Intellectual Property
The OraSpot platform, including its design, logo, features, and content, is owned by OraSpot and protected by intellectual property laws. Sellers retain ownership of their product content but grant OraSpot a licence to display, promote, and distribute their listings on the platform.
Limitation of Liability
OraSpot acts as a marketplace facilitator. To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for the quality, safety, or legality of products sold by sellers
- We are not liable for any disputes between buyers and sellers
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform
- Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid to OraSpot in the 12 months preceding the claim
Dispute Resolution
If you have a dispute with a buyer or seller, we encourage you to first attempt to resolve it directly with the other party. If resolution is not possible, you may contact OraSpot at support@oraspot.co.uk and we will do our best to assist. OraSpot's decision in any dispute resolution process is final.
Account Suspension & Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms or if we reasonably believe your continued use poses a risk to OraSpot, other users, or the integrity of the platform. You may also close your account at any time through your account settings.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or a prominent notice on the platform. Your continued use of OraSpot after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Shopify integration
Sellers' responsibilities
Sellers who connect a Shopify store to OraSpot warrant that:
- They own or are authorised to administer the store connected.
- Their store's product data (images, descriptions, prices) is lawful for them to distribute and licenceable for OraSpot to display on oraspot.co.uk.
- Stock levels reported through Shopify are accurate to the same degree they are on the seller's own storefront — OraSpot relies on Shopify inventory webhooks and cannot detect overselling caused by inaccurate Shopify inventory.
- They will fulfil orders pushed to their Shopify by OraSpot within the fulfilment window advertised on their OraSpot storefront.
- They will not use the connection to route OraSpot's customer contact details into their own marketing, mailing lists, or third-party tooling.
OraSpot's responsibilities
- OraSpot pushes each paid OraSpot order into the seller's Shopify with
send_receipt=false— the seller's Shopify will not email the buyer. All buyer communication (order confirmation, shipped, delivered, refund) comes from OraSpot only. - OraSpot sets
inventory_behaviour=bypasson pushed orders so Shopify's inventory is not adjusted by our push. The seller remains authoritative for their own Shopify stock. - OraSpot will not modify or delete pre-existing Shopify orders (orders the seller created directly in Shopify or that came from another sales channel).
Termination of the connection
Either party may terminate the Shopify integration at any time:
- Seller-initiated: from the OraSpot seller dashboard, or by uninstalling the OraSpot app from Shopify admin.
- OraSpot-initiated: for breach of these terms or for any reason on 30 days' notice. Termination does not affect OraSpot orders that have already been pushed to the seller's Shopify prior to termination — those remain in the seller's Shopify to be fulfilled normally.
Termination revokes OraSpot's access to the seller's Shopify Admin API within seconds (the seller's Shopify uninstall / dashboard disconnect flow fires our app/uninstalled webhook, which flips the connection inactive and clears the stored token).
